8/4/08 - New Nvidia ForceWare Drivers in
September

In September Nvidia will release its new
ForceWare graphics drivers. This release has been reported to
be named "Big Bang 2", inferring that this launch is a follow up to
the original "Big Bang" which first allowed multi-GPU support on
certain Nvidia models.
Some of the key functions included in this release:
Multi-monitor support for SLI
Display Port support
OpenGL 3.0
Hardware Video Transcoding
GPU PhysX support
Performance optimizations
Although the new release's transcoding capabilities will be welcomed
by HTPC owners, the big jump here is the ability to mix and match
different cards and delegate individual tasks to each card as well
as drive multiple monitors.
